HP drabble: Giving Love

James gives the professor love with a determined ‘getting this over with’ mumble and a sullen flush of embarrassment on his cheeks. It’s the most hideously uncool thing he’s ever had to do, ever, and if his friends see him, he’ll just die. Dead. Professor Longbottom can use him as compost for the mandrakes.
But Neville smiles at him and thanks him as if he’s genuinely thankful, and James suddenly doesn’t mind so much.
The next time he gives the professor love is years later, and it’s not his mum’s love he’s giving but his own. And this time, he’s not the one that blushes.

Omigosh, not what I expected to read when I came back to LJ and checking my flist...but ooooh so cute!

I especially loved that last line...Neville-blushes! ^_^ Makes me wonder what James Jr did to make his Professor turn red (well, I can imagine but it would be so uncouth to express it...^_~)
