Summary: Being a contemplation in second person of the hazards of serving under an electric pokémon during a storm.

Thundershock

Your Captain’s an electric mouse and the thunderstorm’s filling the air with water so thick you can barely breathe, let alone sail – slanted forty-five degrees by the wind and close to freezing.  You try to keep yourself from being swept overboard, glad of the wild grin on Jack’s face – bright and fey and more than a little terrifying, but it means you don’t have to worry about how good a conductor the rain could make, should the pokémon lose his temper.
Hours later, sunlight peeps through the swiftly vanishing clouds, and you’re only mildly surprised to find yourself still alive.
