This is a familiar dance: the Master asks, the Doctor refuses, and life goes on, each balancing the other. Come. Watch it change....
"Rule the universe with me," the Master says.
The Doctor smiles, eyes dark. "Yes," he replies, and takes the Master's hand.
Why now, the Master doesn't ask. What changed you, and can I kill it? He smiles back, triumphant. The future shifts around them.
His hand tightens on the Doctor's. "You won't regret this."
"No. I won't."
Ask yourself this: who, what, when, where, why? How? For better or for worse? I won't tell, if you won't.
