James on Pearl Cliche-Drabble

writings-on-paper-not-computer that has accumulated over the past few
months - it's an interesting trip. I appear to have half a
million variations of the cliche James as Prisoner aboard the Black Pearl. Here's one:

Jack Sparrow had the strangest notions of how to treat captives. True, his hands were chained, and at least one of the pirate's crew was present at all times to keep an eye on him, but....
Despite his protests, a trio of scantily clad slave girls sat at his feet, and insisted on feeding him grapes. Commodore James Norrington thought, carefully and quietly to himself, that if he never saw another grape in his life, it would be too soon.
