Pairing: Sparrington.
Rating: PG
Summary: Jack interrupting James. Repeatedly. (Or, as repeatedly as you can get in something drabble-lengthed.) Overuse of the word middle.
Warnings: Slash-fluff.
Disclaimer: Not mine, alas.
***
It was a long day.
Jack interrupted James in the middle of breakfast, in the middle of a pile of genuinely urgent paperwork, and in the middle of the first good night’s sleep he’d had time for in over a week.
When James fell asleep in the middle of scolding him for it, Jack just pushed his lover closer to the middle of the bed to make room, and settled in beside him, smiling softly. That was all he’d wanted, really – the two of them together.
When James woke, late the next morning with a sprawl of still-sleeping pirate draped inelegantly across his middle, he decided that Jack’s persistence was very nearly as admirable as his timing wasn’t. He made a mental note to not tell Jack that, and then, because yesterday really had been a long day, he went back to sleep.
