AN: Birthday present forarabwel.  Started as an attempt to write something in first and second person at the same time, which didn't work - ended up turning into first person with no actual names mentioned.

Animosity

Of all the things I might have expected, this wasn’t – isn’t – one of them. 
Your lips brushing mine, shockingly gentle yet somehow leaving no doubt at all that the emotion behind them is pure, uncontrolled fury.  And there’s a moment when I don’t know whether your next move will be to fuck me or strangle me, or to double over with my knee slammed into your groin, because….
Fuck.
I. 
You. 
This is crazy.
My lips part in something that’s half snarl, half welcome, altogether involuntary, and you….
Your tongue dips in, flicks restlessly against my teeth as if it’s possible to make me burn harder than I already am, then you’re jerking away, no closer to controlling this than I am but still trying….
Crazy, but we have to make this work, or we really will end up killing each other one of these days.
Crazy, but if I’m fighting, it’s to get closer, not away.
…And you’re somehow managing to fit “I hate you,” and “idiot,” and “will you marry me,” into the same sentence, and of course the answer’s yes, because what else, after all this, could it be?  I hate you too, bastard.  Do you think I wanted to want you, of all people?  I couldn’t have picked someone less suitable had I tried.  And I did try, I promise you.
Maybe we’ll kill each other anyway, but we’ll get some bloody great sex out of it first.
I refuse to say I love you, but…
But I do.
