Title: Mark II – Facial Graffiti
Author: [personal profile] order_of_chaos
Rating: G
Genre: Humour/Parody
Pairing: Speckett (Sparrow/Beckett), if you wish to see it as such.
Summary: Jack leaves his mark on Beckett.  It's been done before, and will be done again - it's too good a starting-point for fics not to be - but this time, it's crack.  (Not compared to some of the things I've written, but still.)

Garnished with red scarf,
The brave Captain Jack Sparrow,
Breakfast for Kraken.

And look at the icon [personal profile] galadhir made for me!  *gestures gleefully at icon*

Also, my brother just randomly gave me a pineapple.  Am quite delighted.  I believe it's a late birthday present.

New, with added paprika,
Captain Jack Sparrow.

And look what [personal profile] elessil made me!  *points to icon*

It's my BIRTHDAY today, and guess which movie I took myself to see?!

DIRT!! )

Also for my Birthday, Dad got me two records (Gilbert & Sullivan in Brass and Andwer Lloyd Weber's Requiem) and a talking book CD of Three Men in a Boat, which made me grin, but not jump up and down (literally) squeeing (also literally), until I realised it was read by Hugh Laurie, who plays House.  And Mum got me a plant, which I planted, and a reversible jacket that will come in handy if I want to escape from a crime-scene.  One side black, the other lime green with random-fluorescent-patterned collar, truly abominable fashionwise, in a way I very much like.  An pockets, which are vital.  And I got me chocolate - the Cabury 'Mint Chips' flavour that I have mentally labeed kryptonite chocolate.

Anyway, squee!

I've decided to post this now, and add links/pictures/updates etc. as I go along.

Title: Letters to the Opposition
Author: [personal profile] order_of_chaos
Characters: Norrington, Beckett.  Only pairing mentioned is Davy Jones/Beckett.
Rating: PG-13 for crack.
Summary: Series of letters between Norrington and Beckett.  Insulting nicknames.  Death threats.  Mentions of wigs, hair dye and love potions.  Don't delude yourself that this is supposed to make sense - it isn't.  DMC spoiler-warning just in case.

Title: A Love Story
Author: [personal profile] order_of_chaos
Characters: OMC/OFC, Jack Sparrow, Sea.
Summary: A retelling, in it's way, of the Little Mermaid.  But not at all, not really.  A fairystory of Jack's parents.
AN: Not exactly inspired by (but not exactly not), [personal profile] elessil's Sea Men, and [profile] oasis_herself's Fish Tale.  And Gillette's line about mermaids, naturally.

Rating: G
Summary: Nobody cares.  Literally.  Follows the beginning of PotC.
Warning: The opposite of happiness is not angst.
AN: From the bleakest corner of my soul.  I have no idea why I just wrote this, because I'm happy.

Title: Bend or Break
Author: [livejournal.com profile] order_of_chaos
Pairing: Sparrington
Rating: PG-13
Summary: The Commodore's more cynical and more beautiful than Jack ever imagined.  And he lets Sparrow go.
AN: Every so often, I really, really like my own writing - this is one of them.  Featuring one of my James-muses that you haven't met before, Cynic-Commdore.  This is for everyone - Merry Christmas!
Disclaimer: Not mine, unfortunately.  But ever so much fun to play with.

Once upon a time (about a month ago), there was a challenge, the Vice Versa Challenge, which sounded fun, so I signed up for it, thinking "yes, fun, will write fic!!"  But my muses said no, we want to do fanart.
So... I did fanart.  And since I am terribly lazy, I didn't post it until now.

Title: Frostbite, Penguins, and Bloody Indifferent Commodores.
Author: [livejournal.com profile] order_of_chaos
A late happy birthday to ficlet for [livejournal.com profile] oneiriad, who asked for Sparrington garnished with penguins, and who is lucky I didn't take her too literally about the garnish.
Pairing: Sparrington
Rating: G
Summary: It's either the North Pole or the South Pole, it's very very cold, and Sparrow has just been arrested by Norrington.
Warning: May contain traces of illogic.
Disclaimer: Characters not mine, despite the vague possibility that Norrington may be channeling Kitron.

I've been reading through my collection of writings-on-paper-not-computer that has accumulated over the past few months - it's an interesting trip.  I appear to have half a million variations of the cliche James as Prisoner aboard the Black Pearl.  Here's one:

G-rated, so fear not.
***

Jack Sparrow had the strangest notions of how to treat captives.  True, his hands were chained, and at least one of the pirate's crew was present at all times to keep an eye on him, but....
Despite his protests, a trio of scantily clad slave girls sat at his feet, and insisted on feeding him grapes.  Commodore James Norrington thought, carefully and quietly to himself, that if he never saw another grape in his life, it would be too soon.
